I bought two tickets to the Tech UGa game a few weeks ago for $350. I have a front row UE season ticket but wanted to bring my bro so I gave my ticket away and bought two tix on StubHub.

I had also reserved but not paid for a RT ticket to ATL from DC for $350.

But, as you have guessed by now, I am cancelling my plans. I'll call my brother tomorrow and break the news to him. He's a Dawg fan but he's a good man and would be very respectful regardless of the outcome.

There is no way on God's green earth I am going to spend $700 of my hard-earned dollars to watch us get plastered by UGa because our coach doesn't know how to prepare or coach our players.

I've seen all I need to see.

I've seen all I can bear to see.

I can't believe I was wrong all this time but I know when enough is enough and I have had enough.

Yeah, why would you want to spend time with family and watch your alma mater play their arch rival? I can certainly understand why you'd cancel those plans.

I'd gladly pay more than $700 if I could get away from work to go down there.

I call BS. And spending Thanksgiving with my family (wife and 2 kids) is much more preferable to spending it in Atlanta watching our coach squander our talented football team.

And if you are asking me to believe that you are working Thanksgiving Saturday then let me be the first to call you a liar.

So do I. But I make time and not excuses.

Good one, smart guy. I literally cannot take time off right now. If I do, I take a permanent vacation.

And actually you are making excuses. That was the whole point of your post. You're acting like a child and using your dislike of Chan as your EXCUSE not to go to the game.

Deciding not to spend money doesn't equate to making money. Also, what about the $350 you spent on Stubhub?

I like Chan. I've met and spoken to him several times and genuinely like the guy and it really pains me that things have not worked out.

I just bristle at being criticised for not spending a small fortune to go to the game by a guy who himself isn't going.

I've been to almost 20 Tech Uga games. The last thing I need is a beatdown by someone who themselves is not going. I bought three tickets. I gave one to a Tech fan who would otherwise not be able to go. I'll probably do the same with the other two.

Whether I go to the game or not, I did the right thing with my tickets. I'm not afraid to accept valid criticism but I think you are out of line. I have made a decision that I am comfortable with.

I buy season tickets every year. And every year I send all of them back to the GTAA to be resold except for those years we play UGa at home. So consider that before you decide whether or not I suck as a GT fan.

Thanks for selling your ticket to a dog. I'm sure we're all supportive of you.

Who said you suck as a fan? I'm just pissed about being stuck in new york for Thanksgiving instead of down south with family and having to miss the game. I'd give a lot to be in your shoes, so it's hard for me to grasp deciding not to go.

I haven't sold any of my tickets to a Dawg. I gave my season ticket to a Tech fan and bought two additional tickets.

I was going to bring my brother to the game and yes he is a Georgia fan but he's far from rabid and would not cheer for UGa.

I haven't nor wouldn't sell or give my tickets to a Dawg. I donate my season tickets back to the GTAA every year as I have done for 17 straight years since I left Atlanta. Except for the UGa game every other year which I never miss. Until this year. Just don't have the stomach for it.

If you have read this far, you are now dumber. I hope you have all standardized tests or degrees that are necessary for your career completed at this point.

Selling your tickets because of team performance is the lowest of the low.

Please re-read the entire thread.

Sorry to come on so strong. I guess the events of last night have left us a bit heated. Thank you for doing the right thing with the tickets you're not using. That means a lot.

No offense taken. And I sent a PM to chilidogking apologizing for acting like an arse to him in this thread.
