job I've ever seen ESPN do of covering a game. Every time they went to commercial, I wondered what play I was going to miss when we returned because they never timed it right! Several times, they forgot to change the down and yardage to go - once when the ball changed hands on a GT punt!!!! Its great to see GT get national coverage on a Thursday Night, but I hate seeing us get the "D-crew" - not even ranking the "B-crew"!!!

And then why did they interview Andre3000? He kept refering to OhioState as Ohio, called Calvin #41, and claimed to like Michigan and OhioState!

That idiot was hilarious! Obviously doesn't know the difference between a Buckeye & a Bobcat.

Actually, Andre was pointing at Phillip Wheeler when he was talking about "number 41," Holly just didn't understand what he was talking about. He's a big celebrity, and I think it's great that Tech is getting local icons involved... this is Atlanta's team! Who cares if he said "Ohio" instead of THE Ohio State university (besides Columbus, OH and Kirk Herbstreit)? He was there supporting Georgia Tech, the only team that matters.

In regards to the gamecast, Fowler is AWFUL , and Holly mutilated the interviews both with Andre and with Calvin's parents... Calvin's dad was plainly trying to see what happened with the fumble and she just didn't seem to care. ESPN needs to get their crap straight... they looked like amateurs.

That's not even mentioning the horrific camera angles that they used on several plays. I don't mind them when they are used as complementary angles but at least show the play live in the standard angle so fans can actually tell what's going on.

big John...

Dre 3000 and I are buds now. He's been in the letterman's club lately and we have connected.

You're my hero.

At the end of the day, having solid support in the ATL trendy scene can only benefit GT.

Now it may hack off the redneck element of our fanbase...but it gives them a reason to care.

Bombs over Al Groh!!!

Yea, I spent most of the second half BSing with Andre3000 and his buddies in the letterman's club at the UGA game last year with some other former players. They were blown away when I took them down to the locker room and onto the field after the game (so were some of the recruits and players). They were fun guys to hang out with.

I typically enjoy the ESPN announcers...

but Herbstreit was awful last night. I got sick of hearing him blather on about Calvin Johnson and the Buckeyes. He and Fowler were going through the motions and that girl on the sidelines...man, she was painfully awkward. I was embarassed for her. In their defense, that game was a dud. Can't imagine anyone other than a GT fan sitting through that thing in its entirety.

Re: I typically enjoy the ESPN announcers...

I will say one thing about the girl on the sidelines. Can you say "hot". I got up close to her and I think she kinda dug me there for a minute and then Lil' Joe had to walk up and it was over.

The Calvin stories were annoying at first when he kept on bantering about getting CJ involved...but it was refreshing after the two long catches for TD's to hear them praise the decision making.....Also we need for the announcers to sing CJ's praises on national tv (help heisman voters remember him in due time)....He's got a good number of TD's this year already, he just needs to build up his yardage in these next few games.....He should be in good shape if this happens....in my opinion.

The bad interviews, the poor commentary, the forgotten down/yard changes, and the sad camera angles can all be forgiven - eventually. But what can NOT be forgiven is missing an interception because you didn't come back from commercial soon enough!! How pathetic does a TV crew have to be to miss plays while on commercial?!! It was ridiculous!

Ok, we won - I'll chill out.
