per the San Antonio Express News the ACC Comish stated that expansion will go agead despite the lawsuit. That the ACC had been above board with all it's dealing with the various schools involved.

That lawsuit is PR and going NO WHERE! BC and Miami did nothing underhanded and neither did the ACC.

Just because the President of BC and Miami said in a couple of conversation over the last couple of years - they weren't moving out, they changed their minds, there is something better! That's the whole basis of this suit. That because they said that then, these others schools supposedly went ahead and enhanced their facilities. Those plans for enhancement were in place long before any comments.

I look for to the ACC expanding and hope that those schools coming in will have an opportunity to play in 2004 with all the animosity from the schools who are left behind having to come their way for 2 years!

Administrators in universities really live in a shell, isolated from the real world, don't they? The businesses that I have been involved in have all dealt with gaining and losing clients. That's just tough. You move on. Miami et al have a contract with the BE that states what they must do to ever leave the BE. They are living up to their end of that contract, but the BE somehow finds this unacceptable.

It is almost as if the BE is trying to choke down a poison pill now, only they don't even realize it. By filing this lawsuit, Pittsburgh, VA Tech and West Virginia, in particuliar, may find themselves unattractive to any other conferences. Unless proper groveling and concessions are given in the future to the SEC, Big Ten, etc., they may be doomed.
