The ACC Illuminati have reached a decision

No word out of the Territory as yet.

I posted back in May that FSU had lost its will to compete. @USCJacket I'll take your concession that I was right and you were wrong now.

Seems like losing to us in the opener was just a further knock against that competitive spirit. I get where they're coming from, generally, in how they responded to the playoff snub, but school leadership sent the message to their players that there is no outcome worth playing for as a team outside of a national championship and that goal is unachievable in their current conference. From people I know still well connected in the program, it's been an issue Norvell has faced all offseason.

I don’t think getting their arses kicked by the CFP committee when losing Travis, and uga in the Orange Bowl has anything to do with the last 2 weeks. Those are complete and utter excuses from last year. They have been owned on both LOS by GT, BC. They have no playmakers at WR. Those are the facts after their 1st 2 games.

The real failure is on Norvell and his staff. It’s obvious those “high level” rated Portal additions really aren’t playing well at all on the OL, DL. How the FSU “Insiders” thought they had possibly the best OL, DL not only in the ACC, but in CFB is downright laughable. That’s wearing the garnet & gold colored polarized sunglasses.

DJU has regressed back to his Clemson form, without question. He wasn’t great at Oregon State, but he was effective and ran the ball better. Maybe Jonathan Smith had a better O system at Oregon State? Either way, a complete miss on FSU’s part for not landing a better Portal QB.

So we have 2 realms of thought. People ripping on Dabo for not using the Portal, while Norvell obviously didn’t use it properly. Sounds like it’s back to the “in exact science” concept of recruiting. Add in the egos of these transfers, and the proof is there.

I can certainly say while laughing, they are getting what they deserve. On pace for a 4-8, 3-9 season. Hopefully Memphis beats them by 20 in 2 weeks.

Helmet communication thing is part of the problem. Lol. What, FSU’s opponents have had an unfair advantage because they can understand basic spoken English and fsu no English good we like picture Taylor swift and dollar sign from side of field more better!

Dude, you were the one posting "but look at all their 4* transfers" when I said that FSU had lost everyone that mattered off last year's team that had already proven offensively inept without JT. Just own up to being wrong about that. The above post makes me lose respect for you as a man.

Oh no you are Persona non grata in Bainbridge.

OK. I was wrong about FSU, along with 99% of the media and your “insiders” to the FSU. Not sure why that makes you feel better.

FSU’s problems are squarely a Norvell issue at this point. The Portal worked for him the last 2 years, not so much this year.

I’ll still hold firm that despite FSU going undefeated last year, the committee got the CFP right from a competitive game standpoint. That FSU team did not belong in the CFP without JT. And that’s coming from a person who can’t stand Bama.

CFP should be about the most deserving team, not some beauty pageant.

You don’t see how how a group of suits somewhere telling 18-20 year olds that they didn’t do enough to compete for what had been their lifelong goal to that point could affect the team psyche moving forward? Especially when the decision was unprecedented, controversial and objectively wrong?

If only there was some conceivable system where teams could play their way into a playoff using things like a structured set of rules based on tangible things like wins and losses, where the path to the destination is clearly spelled out with full transparency, where teams know ahead of time exactly what they must do, a system using things that don't require a voting cabal.

I've been pulling for every ACC team OOC for so long that it's hard to wrap my mind around pulling against them.

But they don't give a öööö about the conference, so why should I pull for them OOC? It's much more legitimizing for the future of the ACC if the two schools that want to leave suck on the field.

I’m surprised to not see FSU fans complaining about ACC assassinating them with their refs because of the lawsuit. But I haven’t looked that hard so I’m sure it’s out there.

Well, according to some FSU folk, the major issue is then in helmet communication.
