The ACC is horrible this year.

W. Michigan beats UVA. Louisville destroys Miami. What's the ACC out of conference record this year?

Couldn't agree more. Does anyone in the league have an offensive line that is BCS worthy?

It seems that all league coaches have decided to put the line talent on defense. Maybe not such a bad idea on paper, but as soon as field position flips these offenses have no chance, and even fast and talented defenses can't protect a short field all day long.

It is a weird year. I hope Miami gives up...they have before.

VT, FSU, BC, and Clemson are all still there and looking fine. BC has had one tough game after another.

Quietly, Wake Forest is now 3-0 with wins over Syracuse, Duke, and UConn. Their new QB Skinner was something like 23-35 passing for 250+ yds I think today. I just saw the graphic quickly.

Maryland will not be made to look as bad as they did against a good WV team...but we will still beat them.

The key for us will be to first beat UVA....and somehow get a win in Blacksburg....thus leading to a potential division title and ACC Championship face-off with either FSU, BC, or Clemson.

Couldn't agree more. Bobby Lamb's (Furman's head coach) cousin was at my house tonight to watch the Furman/UNC game on the U and they gave UNC everything they could handle. ACC is definately down this year. Hopefully that means more wins for us!

I think VaTech, Boston College, and Clemson would disagree. FSU and Miami are not far off the mark...and it is yet to be seen where we will land.

Miami should never get killed...but they are poorly coached...and they did play an excellent Louisville team who has a much better QB.

The bottom of the ACC is definitely down....and big.

Miami deserved the Bitch Slap they got after trying to pull the jumping on the Louisville logo stunt. They still think they have all that swagger. Wake up Miami fans. Now that you guys got competition week in and week out, we'll see you in the middle of the pack.

What sucks are teams like WVU and Louisville which play mostly pansies will take over the new Miami role in having a cake walk to the NC game. When you play tough teams week in and week out, its hard getting up for a team like Louisville. Louisville on the other hand, plays Miami and WVU, and in between they have a bunch of D-2 scrimmages. The whole Big East to me is a joke.

I agree

FSU almost dropped to Troy. It could have been a fluke game for FSU, but they also lost to an unranked Clemson team tonight. FSU will still be good the rest of the season, but they are not a top 10 team this year.

Don't forget that NC State lost badly to Southern Miss. and Akron lost to I think Western Michigan, even with all those non-qualifiers.

I've always said the SEC was good at the top, with crap after the top 4-6 teams. Looks like the ACC will follow the SEC's lead, with the state of North Carolina looking like our Mississippi.

Western Michigan beat UVA, I'm not sure who beat the Zips(Akron).

Central Michigan. Maybe we should just call them all "directional Michigan" and be done with it.

scUM at its finest today

Such class shown by the scUM players in their trampling of Louisville's midfield logo during pregame. scUM follows up with an embrassing 31-7 loss to Louisville. scUM will drop from the top 25 for the first time since 1999. scUM has officially dropped from the elite tier of 1A schools after today's shitty performance imo.

Clemson is an excellent football team.

Rankings are complete silliness before October, as evidenced by Clemson falling out of it after losing to a good Boston College team. Clemson will be back in today. We will be in it next week!

I've been saying since they got waxed in their bowl game that Miami might be looking for a new head coach at the end of this year.

The TV announcers were alwys referring to a stat last night about Coker's winning percentage as HC. It surprises me because I think Miami's program peaked, under Coker, after that National Championship in his first year, and have been slowly sliding downhill ever since.

Yep Coker is gone unless they can make a big turn around and win out. FSU is still loaded and actually turned the game last night, only to be had in by a quick snap on offense by Clemson. But Bobby's days are slowly being count down.

Clemson, BC, VPI, and Tech need to step it up or the ACC will be the weakest conference this year.

I completely agree. The Clemson/FSU game is always close. BUT, those outside the conference looking in will see FSU as weak for the loss to an unranked. Maybe I'm wrong - hopefully I am.

Unc Sucks

This is embarrasiing to watch. UNC is absolutely terrible. Just scored to cut the lead to 45.
