this morning and it was by Moore. I have always respected his writing for the most part, but he dang sure hit the nail on the head this morning. He wrote one word in his article that sums it all up INCONSISTENCY.

You could also tell in a separate article that CJ was wanting to talk. I will say he had enough class not to say anything at that juncture. But I would have liked to hear what he had to say. Something to the fact, ' Throw me the D*** ball. 4 catches in 2 games is not going to cut it.

I also saw where RB would not meet with media. To be honest with you I was glad, he would have said something that would have embaressd himself and GT even more.

I still stand by my stance that it is time for a change in our coaching ranks. If we do it now we can still have a good recruiting year and begin 2006 on a good note.

As bad as I hate to say it, I just do NOT see any improvement next year if we go status quo in our coaching ranks. I look at our schedule next year and if some MAJOR changes are not made it COULD be a long year folks.

Just danged disappointed is all I know to say. As I said last night I am not going to bash CCG. I think he is a good man, BUT he is not the person we need leading our SA's at GT. I wish he would make it easier for all by resigning immediately. Do not know if that will happen, but it would be for the best.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get Dave Braine out NOW!!!

RM2,
I'm agreeing with everything you are saying here, almost. I've put too much stock in CCG to agree with switching just yet though. Not too sure anymore if it's just self pride on my part by not wanting to admit that I have been wrong about him, or if I really think he can succeed in the next year. I know we have had the consistency of jello in August, and I also know that I have not been at all happy with some of his play calling at times. I can't help but wonder at times what he is teaching RB at practice since at game time RB may be as hot as a $3 pistol or cold as a cucumber. I'm more disappointed in Tenuta right now than I am Gailey. Dang, I just wish there were a little more to hang onto right now. BTW, when will we hear an announcement of retirement from our beloved AD?

What about the rumors of a new OC and ST coordinator? That is where most of our problems have been. Th rumor mill had it that Gailey offered an OC position to a 'big' name for this past season but was turned down. I think DB is going to insist that CG hire those two coordinators for the coming season. He made Beamer fire his assistants and upgrade them when he gave Beamer an extension at VT.

Look at how poorly Fulmer has performed since Cutcliff left. Now that Cutcliff is back, I bet they get back on track.

Clearly we cannot continue averaging only 18.5 points per game and win in the ACC. Freigen and O'Brien averaged 30 pts per game. We need to open up our offense (and put in the neccessary personnel) to at least average 25 points per game. If we can do this, I think the JT defense can hold opponents to under 20 points per game. We would be vying for championships if this became reality. I also believe the defense 'rolled over' becasue of the poor offensive showing...

Rome, first of all, good to hear from you.

I wanted to give CCG every opportunity to get the job done and it just not has happened. I respect your opinion, but I do believe it is time for a change.

CCG has just been way to inconsistent after having 4 full years. Like I said last night, how can we be so good against UM and AU and then lay eggs against Utah. That is a sign of poor preparation and that is the responsibility of the head coach. It is his JOB to get our SA's prepared mentally and physically each and every ball game.

Our offense is just PATHETIC! He chose RB and I could withstand the mistakes in his first year and a few in his second, but to make the mistakes he has made this year, they are inexcusable. It is CCG's job to make a change and he did not. Hot and Cold will get you beat in the ACC week in and week out.

As far as AD, SOON I hope. He definately deserves his share of the blame in this fiasco no doubt. I have heard on good word that Coach Curry will NOT be our new AD. I hate that, but we need to find someone to right our ship and clean house.

I just hope we do not put all our eggs in the basket of Dave Braine.

I agree on your defensive point as well. JT can get the job done. But it seems every week this year we relied too heavilt on defense. I do think defense wins championships, but you have got to HAVE an offense to back it up at some point.

Let's find a way to get the ball in CJ's hands AT LEAST 10 -12 times per game. I do not care how we do it, just get it done.

Wholesale changes are in order from HC to offensive staff. Just my opinion.

I hope that that we do get a new OC and Spec Teams coordinator.

A new OC would open up the QB job also. If we could consistentl average 25 a game I believe we couldmove from7 to 9 wins per year average.

I' not ready to give up on Galey but he does need to make the coordinator changes

By the way. who was the big name that he was trying to get as OC last year?

That depends on who is throwing to him. RB trying to throw to one receiver the entire game will result in turnovers. This is ONE thing that we were consistent about this year is keeping turnovers down.

I think we got beat by the better team. Better coached, better potential, better prepared. Was no fluke. (Major props to their QB. Outstanding performance. We need that type at TECH, Chan!) We stepped up against the best 6-5 team in the country and they were ready. We had bad breaks, had our heads up our butts (Mathews penalty. i hope the boy is expelled. jmo) Were inconsistent on special teams (yet again but apparently this is not an important problem according to this conservative staff that"really does want to win /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sleep.gif").

I thought the Utes looked good. GT had our moments but we lost, and guess what? That is the bottom line.

If clough does not get rid of DB now, and force CG to make serious staff changes now, then clough needs to go as well - NOW.
