TJ and AT

How come i haven't heard their names at all this year? I thought they would be making an impact but I haven't heard ANYTHING from them.

they injured? not getting playing time?

TJ stands straight up after the snap and gets no push as a result.

AT - no idea.

I haven't seen AT on the field much, outside of special teams. Perhaps I'm missing something, though.

I've never played on a line...but why is it so hard for these guys to not stand up?

I've never understood that.

Try walking around for a few minutes in a squatting stance. It's very hard. Your back hurts, your butt hurts, and your legs hurt. They used to make the o-lineman run through these shoots at practice with a low overhang to help them keep low when I plated HS fball. I tried it one day. All I gotta say is, I was damn glad to not be an o-lineman. It's painful. Naturally you want to stand upright. Staying low isn't as easy as it seems.

I re-watched the first 3 quarters last night of the Miami game. TJ would have 1 good play, then 2 bad. Not uncommon for a young-in, but I'm sure he's disappointed in his consistency.

AT has cracked the 2-deep the entire fall camp and into the season. I can't explain it, because I don't go to the practices. I speculate that his late season injury last year has hampered his development.

TJ has only been in a Tech uniform for three games. He's probably so used to owning his OL counterpart that he hasn't adjusted yet. He probably hasn't seen a lot of the techniques that are being used against him and is coming to grips with the reality that his size alone is not enough at this level.

He's being pushed into service a little green. Be patient. He'll be a good one but not right away.

Retracted - Was reminded that he is not a true freshman - a fact that invalidates the point I was making.

I played o-line (or tight end), and yes it's painful at first, but once you get used to it you get used to it... You stand up when you're lazy/tired and don't care enough to stay low. The least barnes could do is take up two o-linemen like Haynesworth always did even if he doesn't get a huge push.

A-T Barnes just isn't the player people thought he would be, plain and simple.

The 4-2-5 hurt AT. They moved him to WOLF and he hasn't played much based on the two spread offenses we have seen more of Reese and Reid. His natural position would be strong side in a conventional 4-3, maybe we see more of him this week with the 4-3.

That is kind of douche bag comment on a kid who is a redshirt FRESHMAN. He is still young. You're retarded. He's in a better place than you.

I think you are referring to TJ Barnes, rather than AT. However, it's still not a positive comment.

Three games yes, but he also wore that uniform to practice for two falls and a spring. Not saying that he should be better, just saying I'd be shocked if your right. If you go through a spring training, playing snaps against our starting OL and still think your going to beat people with size alone at this level then wow.....

(if you didn't know he was redshirted, then all is well)

What happened to Malcom Munroe? Did he get injured? He had 3 tackles in the opener and I haven't seen much of him since.

You're kind of an idiot. AT is a 5th-year senior. Either by injuries or changing positions, he just hasn't been the kind of player many people, including myself, thought he was going to be. It happens.

This says he's a RS Jr.
Ok. He's a RS Jr. Seems like he's been on the team for 8 years.

Anyway, it doesn't change anything.
