goal of keeping pressure off Ball in his first game and letting our "D" keep us in the game. But I disagree with some of you saying coaches can't help turnovers. O'Leary did not tolerate fumbling the ball and it did not happen much on his watch. We actually had two chances to tie the game in 4th quarter and two good passes from Ball were fumbled. Without those fumbles we might be sitting here with grins on our faces right now. Simply learn to protect the ball or ride the pine. Those guys should do suicide drills until they throw up on MON. This team has to win the turnover battle, no if's, and's, or but's about it. Also, we simply cannot tolerate penalties, they may have cost us 2 TD's on our early drives inside the 10 yardline. Mark this down, we will beat the 4 or 5 teams we match up with if the penalties and turnovers are nonexistent, otherwise we might win one or two. I was somewhat pleased with the "D", we have to make more plays on 3rd down but overall they played well enough to win. Does anybody know if we were able to substitute along the defensive front any?
