The Dream Scenario is Still in Play

That isn't a "dream scenario" by any stretch, I would much rather be a #3 underdog beating #2 UGA. But it still sounds pretty ööööing sweet.

Dream scenario is 11-0 Tech beating 0-11 uga in BDS while that dude from auburn breaks out of prison and poisons the hedges right before the last bulldog on earth decides to chow down.

TRUE. OP is outlining a scenario of sweet, sweet dwag tears, but it is not the dream scenario.

The dream scenario is they lose to south carolina, auburn, kentucky and then us and play in a öööö bowl as an unranked team after being ranked number 1 for exactly one week.
You know, now that you say that, I like this one better:bigthumbup:
BUT. IF they roll into BDS on November 25th as an unbeaten #1 team and WHEN we beat them, the Dwag tears and butthurt will probably be unmatched by any win we've had over them. Ever.

Why do we have to have just one dream? A great man once said, "I have multiple dreams." Beating an 11-0 UGA team and destroying their delusions of grandeur would be great. So would beating an 0-11 UGA team. Or just tree wins in for seasons.

No it wouldn't, because if they beat Alabama the next week they'd probably still be going to the playoff with a shot to win the national title.

Yup, if they are undefeated come Thanksgiving, then our game with them would be meaningless. They could essentially kill the entire rivalry for years to come by simply benching all of their starters, and losing on purpose.

How is this a dream scenario? An 11-1 Dwag team would still make the playoff if they beat a 12-0 Bammer in the SECCG, in fact almost assuring the SEC of two playoff teams. The would need a loss before our game to render their SECCG meaningless.

Pretty much this!

According to the Wiki page on the 1927 UGAg team, they were still retroactively awarded a national title (meaningless, of course) after losing to us at the end of the season and having one loss in the Southern Conference while we won the conference in a tie with NC State, Vandy, and Tennessee. We had one loss to Notre Dame.

I'd rather see UGAg lose to USuCk, Kentucky, Auburn, GT, and lose a bowl.

Wut? Sauce for the goose, etc.
I could have sworn I saw that natty listed as one of their championships.

Hell, I went to a Tennessee game years back and they honored their 1967 National Championship team which went 9-2

No, what I mean is that eliminating retroactively selected championships would do away with two of ours. It's not until the thirties that you start getting national polls and a sense that teams across the country that don't play each other should be compared and ranked. The idea of 'national champions' was pretty vague up to the poll era.

Guys, prepare yourselves emotionally for uga winning the national championship. That's the way this season has been going so far.
