So I am curious why our fans are so crazy about the shade of gold and bush_league-likeness of the jerseys?

Is it the same with every other fanbase?

I would think that bunch of engineers wouldn't care about what we have on and focus on football. At least that's how I am.

I don't really care much about the colors, I just want GT to win....all of the time!

It's the same with every fanbase. Google "new york mets black uniforms" sometime and you'll see.

Enough With The Goddamn Jersey Talk.

Jesus Freaking Christ. Who Gives A **** As Long As We Win. I Know I Don't!

If Any Damn Thing They Need To Stick With One Design And One Color And That's All I Will Say On It.

I love the black uniforms.

They are just not Mets uniforms. The Mets are blue and orange. I would be fine seeing the black jerseys once in a while as an alternate(I don't think they look especially bad), but they are used WAY too often and the traditional pinstrips and orange+blue hat aren't seen nearly enough.

Of course I guess it doesn't really come as any surprise. I'm not sure the Wilpons even know anything about the Mets; Citi Field has more Dodgers history(obviously) and Giants history(the black and orange trash cans, black and orange outfield wall) than Mets history(there is nothing about the Mets in the park...except the "Let's Go Mets" sign.) Supposedly they are adding Mets stuff today but they've been saying that since before the season began, so I'm not holding my breath.

My uncle's a HUGE Mets fan and he doesn't really like them all that much.

I've yet to meet a really big Mets fan who does like them, or at least like the degree of which they are used today. Of course I guess I don't meet too many really big Mets fans anymore.

Yes, but it takes an extra special college football fanbase to debate the colors of a major league baseball team that's about 900 miles away.

yeah I did not see that one coming

My only explanation is that the everyday GT engineer that I see around at classes and labs have nothing to do with most stingtalk posters. It seems like they are mostly mutually exclusive.

I've been a Mariners fan since I was a kid and I really hate the Yankees. My uncle's undying love for the Mets and hatred for the Yankees has always made me a closet Mets fan.

Who knows. I come here mostly right before the season starts and then during the middle of the week during the season because I get all antsy about KICKING THE **** OFF and feel the need to experience football somehow some way. In mid August, I would read and weigh in on a thread on here about the color of the mouth guards. (Remember how George Godsey's mouthguard made him look like he only had one big tooth? Anyone else know what I'm talking about????????????)

I hate the Brave's all blue uniforms. They'd be okay if there was red on the inside of "Braves." But just blue sucks.

I just think we should go with the color that buzz is, that to me is the best bet, we can't even match the color of our mascot, but then again the ramblin wreck is more of a shiny gold. What to do?

Players with lower numbers wear a brighter shade of gold. Higher numbers wear darker shade. Create a spectrum. I have seen this work with bridesmaids' dresses. I am going out back to shoot myself in the head now.
