and the hiring of Chan Gailey and this coaching staff, was possibly the worst decision an athletic director has ever made in the history of the free world.
Some of us recognized it at the time. Some of us were not blinded by the resume.
It is absolutely incredible how fast the wonderful program that Coach O'leary had built up has been run into the ground.
Pitiful....just pitiful.

But no one on Stingtalk can say they are surprised...because they were warned in advance.

I would have to say the worst decison an athletic director ever made was leaving the SEC to become an independent over some stupid scholarship dispute.

Well, there might be some folks in Gainesville who'd argue whether or not it was the stupidest move ever. But it's time for Gailey to go. Unless he goes at least 4-1 in the next five games, he's lost my vote of confidence.

You may be right about Gailey, it is not looking to good at this point.

However, BOB is falling flat on his own weight and his offense is helping pull Tech down starting with the Peach Bowl.

It would also have been a completely unintelligent decision to hire a Mac with only one win as his lone credentials for a head coaching job.

So, even though it appears you might be right on Gailey (which was only a guess on your part because you were mad Mac was not retained), you have no valid criteria for retaining BOB or Mac.

This team is about as poorly coached as I have seen at GT in my lifetime.

But that being said, Gailey was the best hire of Jimmy Robinson, Charlie Taaffe and Mac. If Mac had the job you'd still have BOB, who has become one of the worst coaches of all-time. I have no idea what has happened there. I'm not just referring to the play calling on offense but just sheer fundamentals, being well drilled, etc. Tenuta is still an upgrade over Roof.

The poor coaching is primarily offense and special teams. I am OK with the defense. It's hard to expect much vs Wake when they run 91 plays and we run 52.

I feel for the seniors, who deserve much more....Watkins, Wimbush, etc.

SEC move bad!! CG move bad, so far!!! Why r our players falling like flies????

There is absolutely NOTHING good happening to this team now and with recruiting vibes not so hot, we are up the creek. This is the most embarrassed I have been in quite some time, and when a hc embarrasses the fans, the jig is up!

I guess injuries don't have anything to do with it does it?
<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">My thoughts on injuries. When FSU was in St. Pete for their annual fitness I thought what is GT doing. Did you see last night on the first drive for Md after the half, our guys standing around with their hands on hips, missing tackles. They were tired and they just had a 20 minute rest. I don't think they are in shape and that leads to injuries. I know, probably not Hollings, but the others.
