given the state of affairs of our program today, how many of you feel like we can beat the FRIDGE on the road at MARYLAND. i am sorry to say so but, i think we lose, we will see the real way to run an offense.
 
I hope I'm wrong but it will not be close. We are not a good team and this is exacerbated by woeful coaching. Mary 48 Tech 21. Lord I hope I'm wrong.
 
I think we can win this game.

1) We lost over the weekend to Wake Forest of 2002. (Not Wake Forest of WFOMOS from the 90s). Our defensive schemes were a step behind what Wake was doing on offense - that's no flame on our coaching, Wake's game planning deserves credit.

2) We had improved every game up until the Wake game.

3) The only booing they'll hear is from the opposition and that's not unexpected

4) In the close games, every break cannot continue to favor the opposition. We've already had our share of bad karma with the injuries - we will eventually start getting the breaks again.

5) We're not as good as everyone thought before the season yet we're not as bad as the team that showed up against Wake.

7) Because Madame Cleo said "Tech will win if they score more points than the team with the fat man and the turtle" and the magic 8ball said "definitely maybe" when asked if Tech would win.

IF TECH plays mistake free I don't see us being any further away from a win than we were at Clemson. I don't see us getting annihilated just because Maryland has the Fridge. We might even do better against what they throw against us than we would if we had to try Wake again. Different chemistry. IMO.

I don't think any of you that are predicting 3 TD losses have seen Maryland play this year. I don't know if they could score 30 points on us if we played them twice. That being said, our offense is really struggling so it will probably be a close game
 
That would be a negative. I don't think our team is as good as we thought. Don't get me wrong...I hope we win. But our weaknesses were exposed in the Wake game, and I have a feeling the Fridge is going to capitalize on those. Don't forget...a bad UCN team still came WAY too close to beating us.
 
Good grief! Maryland has the same record as us. They are not world beaters this year nor are they anywhere close to as good as they were last season. By the way that "Bad" UNC team beat a 4-1 Arizona State team Saturday night at ASU. Not to shabby IMO.

We will be fine win or lose. Let Gailey coach and let the kids play. AS FANS WE CANNOT DECIDE THE GAMES!
 
Beesnut,you make a good point but the two teams are heading in opposite directions. They started slowly and has really picked up steam whereas we started fast {primarily because of a weak schedule} and the engine has died on us. You can stick a fork in this team. WE ARE DONE.
 
Big Buck, you really need to do some research before you post. Just why is MD headed in the opposite direction?

They are 4-2 with wins over...now hold your breath...Akron, Eastern Michigan, wofford and West Virginia. That's right, WVU who has beaten Chattanooga, Cincinnati, and ECU. And before you tell me that Cincy lost a close one to Ohio State, they also lost to Miami, Oh.

They have been blown out by a ND team which had no offense at the time 22-0, and by FSU 37-10.

Pardon me if I'm not shaking in my boots. We may very well lose to MD. But to say we have no shot is just stupid IMO. I know you don't like CG or his staff, but you really need to get a grip.
 
ncjacket, I can see by you post that you don't want to confuse the issue with facts. Lets just say that the Fridge went easy on WV at WV after he had a 35-0 lead. Nuff said.
 
BB, the Fact is that WVU sucks. The Fridge may have taken it easy on them but it doesn't alter that. I have many WVU fans for friends and they are wondering how long you give a HC before you give him the boot.

BTW, what in my earlier post wasn't a fact. Their record? Who they played?
