The last Monday before football starts...

is the best Monday of the year. I got chills this morning on the way to work when 680 went to their pick'em segment and played the GT fight song when sizing up the GT/ND game.

They also spent a few minutes talking about the game with Jim Donnan.
 
really? it's agonizing for me.... still waiting for the first game without a previous game to talk about.... ak;jsfda;lsfjaslkfdj cmon saturday.


i was actually hoping the weekend would end as quickly as possible and kill the time before the game. i even watched a Div II game between Texas A&M Commerce and Pittsburgh State (Pitt St is in Kansas... lol). it was an all-time desparation low for me.

The anticipation rarely gets any higher than it does this week. It will no doubt be a loooong week but the end of the tunnel is here....
 
No shame in watching D-II ball. It's better than nothing. I watched a couple of HS games this past weekend.

I watched part of that too. You have to love a team called the Gorillas. Are their women's teams the Lady Gorillas? A couple of the cheerleaders definitely were.
 
lol, lady gorillas. didn't think that much about it, but that's funny.

i was impressed with how many fans were at the game. they had a couple thousand... i thought DII would be lucky to have 200 fans.
 
I'm going nuts! My fiancee got mad at me last night because I was trying to find anything new to hold me over til Saturday... I feel almost psychotic for football right now.

BTW... I didn't know there were other Tennessee Jackets on here. I live in Cleveland, right between Knoxville and Chattanooga.
 
This week is gonna be tough! The week before the first game always is, though. Hardly any work is gonna get done for me.
 
It felt good sitting in the stands this past Friday night. Nothing like a little high school ball to hold you over.
 
I took a trip to Texas hoping it would hold me over. Drove past an $80 Million high school football stadium in Midland. Unfortunately, we were a day late for Friday night lights, but after a five-hour ordeal due to a cancelled flight, we were just happy to be at our destination. That helped but now I can't get any work done. TOO MUCH ANTICIPATION!!
