The legacy of incompetence....

put forth by our offensive staff since Gailey took over is unrivaled.

You ran the ball right down the field on your first drive. You have the league's leading rusher. So obviously you should throw the ball on first down 7 out of 11 times in the second half.

Your offense is struggling and you have built your entire team around defense which has been killing the other team all day. So obviously when you get the chance to kick a chip shot FG to take the lead you go for it on 4th down, but make sure to run the play clock all the way so the opposing D can easily perfectly time the snap. Don't call a timeout here. Save it so you can use it later on a 4th down before deciding to punt.

How about that reverse on 3rd and 1?

Why did we punt it at the end? Did we expect the D to score?

Is it true the defensive players have to carry the offensive players back to Atlanta on their backs?

“We didn’t get ready to play,” Gailey said, “and that’s my responsibility.” This is a quote from after the game today. How many times do I have to hear our coach openly admit that he did not have the team ready to play before we do something?

Other past blunders.....

Calling timeout on 4th and 1 and then running a fake punt pass. We did this once this year and once last year. Who thinks that this is a good idea? I know our punter is probably a better passer than our QB, but at least put him under center.

1-2-3-4 Four Downs AH-HA-HA

Calling 2 timeouts before you have run your third offensive play and still not getting the personnel on the field.

Getting called for illegal formation twice in a row

After a timeout, thinking you have too many men on the field so you rush a player off, but really you pulled the 11th guy off the field. AFTER A TIMEOUT!!!

When we are going to run the clock down before calling a timeout and then punting it away on 4th and short, why don't we ever lineup and try to draw them offsides?

Why do we still have people catching punts inside the 10 yard line?

I could go on and on and on and on with the coaching stupidity displayed by this staff, but instead let's just say the body of work is substantial.

PROMOTE TENUTA NOW!!!!

He will hire a good OC or will at least have the balls to fire a bad one if necessary.

I feel ya but I'm not sure Tenuta is the answer. A suitable replacement perhaps. I give Gailey one more year of his 'what football?' approach to earning 1m a year before he gets 'rode' out of town on a rail.

TECH's fanbase is long-suffering AND severe.

God bless Reggie Ball.

Every year our coaching, specifically the offensive and game management, drops a catastrophic, demeaning humilation bomb on our program and every year it's "give him one more year". We does it take for some of our people to see what is obvious to every non-GT: "Gailey is not a good head coach".

He came into our program and almost immediately began dismantling one of the most successful offensive systems in the country.

Remember when Joe Burns running out of bounds was considered a huge mistake. Now that sort of error would not even be noticed amongst all the errors of judgement that are practically routine at this point.

I really believe that there is not any amount of talent or opportunity great enough that our offensive staff could not find a way to squander it. If we had Joe Hamilton or Shawn Jones, we would still be talking about our offensive woes because neither of those players would have become the players that we know them as today with this coaching staff.

Are you saying Reggie Ball would have been up there with Hamilton and Jones had he had a better coach?

I am saying that Hamilton and Jones could have ended up just like Ball with this coaching staff.

how would godsey have developed and performed under this staff?
how would his numbers have been?

Are you seriously saying that is the reason for the difference between Joe Hamilton and Reggie Ball? If so, you've lost your mind.

What he's saying is that THE ONLY REASON WE LOOK AT REGGIE BALL BEHIND CENTER IS BECAUSE OF CHAN DA MAN! THE ONLY DIV 1 COACH IN AMERICA THAT GAVE HIM A SHOT AT QB. AND FOR 4 YEARS HASNT FOUND ANYONE TO PLAY BETTER. THE BUCK STOPS WITH THE HEAD COACH

WHAT HE IS SAYING IS THE ONLY REASON WE KNOW WHO REGGIE BALL IS IS DUE TO CHAN DA MAN, THE ONLY COACH IN THE US TO RIDE A DEAD HORSE FOR 4 YEARS! THE BUCK STOPS WITH THE HEAD COACH.

What I am saying is that Joe Hamilton and Shawn Jones had someone that instilled the discipline and knowledge necessary for them to have the chance to become the great QBs that they were. I don't know if Reggie could have been as good as either of them, but I am certain he could have become a better QB than what we have seen for the past 4 years. Our coach's inability to do their job has made Ball a goat for the rest of his life, because they could not develop him or at the very least come up with a better alternative.
