Cal Poly was first in the nation in total offense, fifth in rushing offense and sixth in scoring offense en route to a No. 24 final ranking by The Sports Network. Junior center Stephen Field also was an All-American and 13 Mustangs were named All-Great West. The team scored 30 or more points seven times, broke or tied 18 all-time school records and has won seven or more games five years in a row, the longest such streak in school history.

He runs the triple option. He scores....A LOT. His defense, however, is atrocious.

Hopefully, someone who does NOT play in the ACC or SEC picks this guy up. I wonder how old he is though....

Paul Johnson has made the triple option sexy again. This could be a copy-cat hire for some up and coming AD out there...somewhere.

If he's a youngin then we can keep him right there until PJ retires and we can have our replacement.

Maybe Michigan will go after him when they kick their jackass coach to the curb.

I'm not all that impressed with him, i'd rather have Sewak. CalPoly lost in the first round.

I'm not saying he's on PJ's level. Noone is.

However, his team has lead the nation in offense for several years running.

And his team did give up 45 points in that playoff loss.

A program at rock-bottom like a Syracuse would be well-served to hire a guy like this. jmo
