When we reached the top in 1990 everyone said we had reached the next level and were rated something like #5 preseason. In BB when we made the majic run in 2004, we had reached the next level and the recruits were going to banging on our door. We were rated something like top 5 preseason with everyone back. It seems like we take one step forward and six steps back. Most teams that rebuild still have quality teams that are fun to watch. When will we reach the "next level" and stay there? When is the last time you really "enjoyed" watching us play? I mean really enjoyed it.

Last 3 true examples:

2004 Champs Sports Bowl v. the 'Cuse (51 pts)

2003 Humanitarian Bowl v. Tulsa (52 pts)

2002 first half v. UVA - THAT, IMO was the best first half ever for a Chan-team. We came out with a no-huddle attack that hasn't been seen since. We jumped on a solid UVA team 23-0 at the half (really could've been 35-0). In the 2nd half, however, we played real Chan-ball an had to hang on 23-15.

Those are the last three off the top of my head.

Joltin, I too have always told people that the best, most complete first haf of fooball GT played under Chan was taking a 23-0 lead over UVA at the half.

Kind of hard to believe Chan only went 2-4 against UVA, but has beaten Miami 3 straight.

Last year's VT and WVU's first halfs were great to watch too.

Lord why can GT not put together a full game?
