is what will Todd Stansbury do to unite the fan base and get all of the former athletes back involved in GT athletics? I also wonder if he will be "looking" to bring in his own coaches?

I think he will be a great leader and ambassador for Geargia Tech.

We can only hope.

I think this is a home run hire for our alma mater. Not only a Tech alum but played football here as well, plus has AD experience to boot. In theory has a better perspective than most others would.

I don't claim to know much about him, but apparently, he oversaw a lot of facilities upgrades at UCF. Given his background, we can assume that he really wants to be here and has a passion for the program, which is a sense I never got with Bobinksi, who gave off the perception that he was just going through the motions and biding his time until something else came along. Count me in the solidly optimistic camp.

I don't think he would make any coaching changes unless it proves necessary. Our football program is going in the right direction and we just hired a new BB coach who has yet to coach a game, but is doing some good things with recruiting. We'll see where both are when their respective contracts are up. Now, moving on from the Danny Hall era, that could be something ...

He certainly won't have the learning curve of the last two.

Bring Calvin in as a assistant to football operations, or whatever theyre calling it these days. Imagine having calvin on the sidelines, out recruiting, or even just making weekly appearances
This x100. Did I read somewhere that he was back at school or wanted to come back and finish?

Living in Florida, I always read or heard good things about what Todd was doing at UCF

I agree with what your are saying 77, but it will be interesting to see what his agenda will include. Whatever he does, he is an upgrade from the previous two AD's.

No doubt about what Calvin Johnson would bring to the program being involved in the football program on a regular basis.

Hope you are correct, but how do you see our football team going in the right direction? Seems as if recruiting is better the last year and this year's commits. And we do not seem to lose as many on signing day.
But as far as trending up, the next 2 weeks will tell a boatload. The last 9 years we are only winning about 59% of our games. We are 14-24 vs our big 5 opponents. Hope that will change very quickly
But Todd seems to be a no nonsense guy who will lead. Hope he learned from O'L and stands up to the Hill.

Three ACCCG game appearances 1-2
Two BCS/NY6 Bowl appearances 1-1
Two victories at UGAg
7-2 vs. ranked opponents at home.
3 seasons of 9 wins or more

Short of Ross and the NC and O'Leary's 3-0 run against the Mutts, show me a Tech coach that as accomplished more since Dodd.

What's your brother's opinion of the guy since they played together?

77, JD is a big fan of Todd. He believes he will do the things necessary to get GT united once again and will make decisions that may not be popular but will be best for GT athletics.

Hopefully Todd will tell CPJ to fire sewaks ass ASAP. Sumbitch is not worth the money he is being paid

You think Mover would think about filling that position if it is vacated?
