For full disclosure, I was hoping the Cardinals would win. I liked the coach. I liked the fact that they counted the Falcons as the toughest game on the path to the SB. I liked Larry Fitzgerald.
But, as a former resident of St. Louis, I can fully support the fact that the Rooney Family > Bidwill Family as owners. And I also like the fact that in an age of disposable coaches Pittsburgh has had three coaches since I can remember.
Regardless of who won I think the Cardinals proved they deserved to be there. It isn't exactly the model of a successful franchise, but this particular team impressed me.
