that a Greene County coach has said Nesbitt will commit to Tech.

So, by the ND game, we could see Nesbitt, Claytor, Everson and Dwyer all committed to Tech. To say I'm excited about this class would be a major understatement.

That would be awesome to have all 4 committ on Natioinal TV on ESPN...talk about making a STATEMENT. I can only hope it becomes a reality and not just a rumor....If that becomes true I will be curious to see where they rank our recruiting efforts for 2007.....plus just think about the SPRING BOARD effect that would have for the upcoming recruiting seasons......Guys will really take notice, should be in awe of an offer from GT.....GO JACKETS!

The team rankings suck because if you have 30 recruits you automatically have an advantage over teams that have 20-25.

BTW, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed til Aug 31st gets here!

Maybe so but, I will go for Quality over quantity at least for this year!!! I would be estatic if we landed the type of quality recruits that we've gotten verbals from to this point...especially if 8/31 has the potential to be a tidal wave effect for the upcoming years!!!

I'm very excited.

That being said, all of these verbal commitments are still NON-BINDING and I'm not near as excited right now as I will be in February.

fj,
wonder what percentage of this is "rumor mill" compared to actual fact? Good news but I just hope it's not rumor.

When will these potential "Commits" actually put on the hat or make the choice? Before the game, during halftime, etc.. Anyone know?

I really don't want to miss this.

Thanks Hiver....do they usually do it pre-game or throughout the game?

not sure...but ESPN will already be in Atlanta for the Friday night and Saturday GameDay crew telecasts.

From what I've seen on the boards at Rivals, most of the recruiting analysts think we will receive at least Dwyer's and Nesbitt's commitment next week.

Lets just hope the analysts have it right on this one, if they are, it will most likely go down in Tech Recruiting history (if there is such a thing!)

As always keep your fingers crossed!

Man, you are so right!! Losing any early verbal to another school after all of the summer emotion would be like a drop-kick in the Balls!!We'll have to work twice as hard to keep all the recruits emotions and loyalty to us as high as possible--- There are lots of schools out there[USC-east] who disregard verbals and continue to snipe at key recruits.Particularly ,if these recruits are having outstanding Senior seasons.
