Our AD needs to negotiate a retirement at the end of this season. If we have to give him more than the guaranteed million dollars, do it. This allows us to start identifying potential candidates. It allows Coach Johnson to leave with dignity. Hopefully, it motivates our players for a variety of reasons.

I agree if the AD goes with him....and Peterson.

Handling the transition smoothly and quickly makes the coaching search easier and allows us start sooner.

I would bet our AD has never even visited the upper north during a ballgame. Too comfy in that box of his hobnobbing.

I have the ultimate respect for Bobby Ross. When he last visited BDS to be honored, he sat in the stands with the fans because he WANTED to. We have an elitist school president who hired what looks to be an equally elitist AD. I really just want everyone to be tossed out in one big sweep.

The issue is if you did it will take a while to replace the coach. You've fired the person who makes the selection on the coach and the person makes the selection on that person.

Yep, and Coach Ross still comes to watch us play every time we go to Charlottesville.

Why not now?

I have no evidence to indicate that the coaching search is not already ongoing. I have competing gut feelings over whether or not it is, though. On the one hand, the GTAA is a deeply embedded clown show and has been since before I became a fan. On the other hand, Stansbury did negotiate the low buyout, presumably on purpose. Who knows. I would certainly be talking to people already, if I were in Stansbury's shoes.

I agree. If Todd has already made the decision or if CPJ has already told him that this is his last season, he should already be working to identify and make a deal with the candidate that he wants. We can't afford to have another coaching search like MBob did a couple of years ago with basketball.

A huge part of TS’s job is fundraising and I imagine the people we are trying to extract money from enjoy being entertained in a suite.

He needs like 20 convincing body doubles to roam the stadium for him on game day. This works in at least one place I know of.

Good for him. He can entertain people in the suite as our attendance dwindles
