It seems that every year, one of the 3 teams from Florida ends up playing for a national championship and often they win. Let's go back to 1991 and step forward through time:
- Miami beats Nebraska, splits MNC
- Bama beats Miami, wins mnc
- FSU beats Nebraska, wins mnc
- Nebraska beat Miami, wins mnc
- Nebraska beats UF, wins mnc
- UF beats FSU, wins mnc
- holy smokes, no one from Florida plays for mnc
- UT beats FSU, wins mnc
- FSU beats VT, wins mnc
- OU beats FSU, wins mnc
- Miami beats Nebraska, wins mnc

What's my point? I guess it's this: Down in the sunshine state, there's a lot of talent to go around. Between those 3 schools, somebody is always ready for a run at the MNC and the rest of us down here in the South have to deal with it head on. This is a remarkable run of great teams and I don't think it's gonna end any time soon. So while the rest of us sit around and jockey for position at "this" level and "that" level, those 3 schools just reload every year. I'm not saying that there's nothing for the rest of us. There is, obviously. But it'd sure be nice if somebody else in the south could start a great run...like Tech, for instance. Oh well. Just my random thoughts. The saddest part of all of this...those yankees down in Florida don't deserve such great college football.
