There was a huge mistake near the end of the game...

That I haven't seen posted yet.....

We're scrambling around with time ticking down to get to the line - I'm thinking that Tater's gonna spike the ball to stop the clock, but instead he hands it off to TC!!

If Choice had not got the 6-7 yards for a first down, it would have been game over!

OK, so it didn't have to be that exciting, but getting a win with FOUR turnovers is actually pretty surprising.

Four TOs next week will mean a blowout.

That's when I just started laughing my arse off because I couldn't believe what I just saw. Watched it with my old roommate and we were completely stunned.

Yeah, I was saying to the people around me how frickin' lucky we were to hand the ball off 6 times in the last 1 minute with no time outs, and didn't run out of time. I think four of those handoffs got first downs...

It was close...but it turns out there was enough time either way for a spike to stop the clock.

Thought the same thing...

when listening on the radio. Perhaps the thinking was that "there is no way NC will expect us to run with no timeouts" or perhaps "I would rather win/lose with TC handling the ball vs. TB."

Either way there was alot of drama...coaches calling plays in crunchtime with (perhaps) knowing their jobs are on the line. The reason it is pretty much glossed over was that it worked...had it failed there would be a TON of criticism. That series of calls may have been the "nail in the coffin" had we run out of time before getting to kick.

I thought it was also a tough call to rely on a fg. Based on his miss against Uva and at the 3 minute mark, I don't think the fg was automatic. Glad for TB that he made it...he has been pretty reliable for the most part. I don't think any kicker wants to miss 2 game winners, particularly in his senior year.
