Check out the 6 AP voters who have FSU ranked higher than Georgia Tech.

Bob Hammond (Tech NR, FSU #21)
John Hunt (Tech NR, FSU #23)
John Silver (Tech NR, FSU #23)
Myron Patten (Tech NR, FSU #23)
Kevin Pearson (Tech #25, FSU #24)
Marcus Fuller (Tech #25, FSU #23)

Also interesting: Stewart Mandel from SI has us at #15 and FSU #17.

(Yeah yeah, I know, none of this means anything etc....)

A lot of the AP voters are idiots.

Well, since you called me a "****ing moron" for absolutely no reason and without even a shred of provocation, "idiot" is probably your idea of high praise. Since I am a "****ing moron" feel free to stop reading or responding to my posts.

You realize that we were one weird play away from losing that game Saturday, don't you.

We scored 31 points. We shredded their vaunted rush defense. We sacked them more than anyone else so far this season.

And, we made the plays we had to make to win the game and they didn't. We deserve a higher ranking.

Now I remember your prediction: Tech 17, F$U ?

Lemme guess: you bet your house on F$U didn't you?

Oops.

Thanks for remembering me. That makes me feel special. I was absolutely wrong with my prediction. I don't mind admitting. Now I gotta' put the wheels back on and move dang it.

The team hung on for a great win and I hope the success continues.

Yeah, and in the last six years, we've been one weird/bad play away from beating U[sic]GA (several times), NC$U, F$U, Maryland, UVAgina, etc . . .

Today---we hung on and made a good play to win. This is what good and great programs do. Add a play like that to many of the games in the past six years and it is a different world. You hire a coach---who does the right things so that when you get that one play--you win.

And it wasn't a weird play. Cooper made a good play.

Bingo, it's not like the FSU back just dropped the ball on his own.

I have been wracking my brain trying to remember something.

Before the season started - maybe even last spring, there was a story with a quote from CPJ about how he would instill a toughness and an attitude that would make the difference when, at the end of a close game, it came down to making one athletic play to win the game.

As soon as that ball popped out, I remembered it but danged if I have any idea where I saw it.

I wish I could find it and provide a link. Ringing any bells with anybody?

Isn't have one "wierd play" break our way what Dodd's Luck was all about? As others have mentioned -- maybe CPJ has revived Dodd's Luck. Especially with your name, I think you would remember that.

Les Miles just won a national title with nothing but luck after luck after more luck.

Jamie Gold won a WSOP Main Event with nothing but luck after luck after luck.

Then he proceeded to slowly bleed the profits away over the next year because he really kind of sucks at poker.

Yeah he's horrible. You ever watch those late night ring games featuring all the well-known poker names + Jamie? Dude got worked.

I love those, because the players always make not-so-thinly-veiled insinuations about how bad of a player he is.

The end of that game was Karma for 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003.

And 1992.
