It makes college football for me to see the undefeateds go down one by one & hopes get dashed. Then the hopes rise again as the unblotteds dwindle & the 1 loss-ers start to holler. There's only 10 non losers left (& most teams are only halfway through their season). Last week was very fun with the elimination games of Tex-Okla, Tenn-Ga, LSU-Fla, Ore-UCLA, Miami-FSU, Penn St-Mich, etc.
2 losses & u're cooked! At least as far as the BCS champ game goes. Some of the cookees last week were FSU, UCLA, Fla, Tenn, Penn St, Wis, Aub, etc.
This week has some tremendously important elimination games with the best, by far, being Notre Dame @ Air Force on ESPN @ 10pm. A loss & AF's cooked (even if they finish 11-1). A ND L & they're wounded, but alive. Almost as important is 1 loss Iowa St @ undefeated Okla. Then there's 1 loss Tex @ 1 loss Kan St in a true elimination game. Also, SCar @ LSU where an L for LSU cooks them while an L cooks SCar's SEC E hopes. Ole Miss tries to avoid the wok @ Ala.
