i was reading this article in the ajc

http://www.ajc.com/blogs/content/sh...008/08/22/by_oct_tech_will_be_up_and_run.html

and began to realize something after i read a quote from a. gardner.

i thought about how pj says we are going to be one of the best conditioned teams in america. i just see us in a fast moving, don't let the d sub, hurry back to the line of scrimmage, direction>direction>direction into a counter big play offense.

obviously, we are going to be doing a lot of things but i think one of our main goals to try to get more plays than the other team. and the more plays you run...the more chance you have for the defense to get sloppy, tired, confused and making mistakes.

I disagree. After seeing us in the fourth quater against numerous teams the past few years, I think he wants us in better shape than the other team when the game is on the line. In CFB, being in better shape can be a great talent equalizer. How many times over the years have you seen teams that needed to run out the clock in the waneing moments go 3 and out? Happens a lot.
We will run a lot of plays, but it will be because of ball control.

Remember when Tech ran a lot of the no-huddle offense? I think it may have been under Pepper, but can't recall for certain.
