I love what he says about UCONN:

Awww. You know, most canine mascots are pictured in the act of growling. Or crouching. Something that suggests that it's ready to pounce and take a chunk of meat the size of Rhode Island out of your thigh. Not the Connecticut Husky. He only wants to get out of the hot sun so he can pant, drool, and lick your face. Your six-year-old daughter wants to cuddle with this dog because it is sooooo poofy and cute! Michael Vick’s punishment should be walking this dog through downtown Atlanta on a leash and picking up its poop, which I'm guessing is also adorable
 
We are getting rid of the GT this year anyway. We are going to have the institute seal on the right side of the helmet only (ala Pittsburg Steelers).

That's what my sources say anyway.

:laugher: That's funny. I grew up in CT and was a DIE HARD UConn basketball fan until age 18. I defy anyone to not love this guy!

I was convinced that UConn had the best sports mascot of all time until I enrolled at Tech and was introduced to Buzz ;)

Where in CT did you grow up? I used to be a big UConn basketball fan as well, though more on the women's side(kids are front runners, didn't you know?).

West Hartford, born and raised!

It's amazing how popular women's basketball is up there! In 1997, about two weeks after the Whalers left Hartford I ran into Governor Rowland at a Blockbuster Video store and the asshat was wearing a UConn Women's basketball windbreaker. What a freakin' d-bag. He lets our only pro sports team walk out on us and sports around a women's bball jacket. If I wasn't only 16 at the time I would have let him have it.

Well, you know, UConn women's basketball was(is) very very good. My family actually had tickets to a Final Four they were playing in(forget where it was now) but we gave them to Jen Rizzotti's family.

When I was 13/14... like I said, die hard UConn men's basketball fan... I ate, slept, drank basketball. Well, I had a crush on Jen Rizzotti, no joke!
