I have full support for Nesbitt and I don't want to start a qb controversy. But I've been more impressed by Shaw so far in this game.

I must say it feels great to be optimistic about the QB position for once. :D

Great option (no pun intended) to keep the ship running if Nesbitt gets banged up.

He's showing some great poise so far.

#48 for Jax St is a little bitch. Down 34 points and he's drilling a QB 5 seconds after yet another score. Great poise by our guys not to retaliate. Let the scoreboard do the talking.

I don't know what game you watched, but Nesbitt was clearly better than Shaw in my eyes. Shaw's decisions are crisp, but not any more right than Nesbitt's, and Nesbitt can use his natural ability to get out of poor decisions whereas Shaw can't.

Shaw is a very serviceable backup, and will be outstanding in a year or two, but this is clearly Nesbitt's team.

Seconded.

Something else I noticed on a couple of plays from Shaw was that he seemed to be a little too willing to go down, whereas Nesbitt was fighting for every last inch. I was left more excited about Nesbitt than Shaw, but this may change.

Credit where it's due Shaw didn't miss a pass, Nesbitt missed quite a few. Part of that was Shaw not passing much, I think.

Nonetheless, Nesbitt seemed like the better option to me, and as soon as he really gets his feet under himself about when to pitch, things are going to go a little crazy in Tech football. Shaw is a totally serviceable backup though, which is outstanding to have as a true freshman. He has a bright future at Tech.

While I think Nesbitt is the better qb, I was very impressed with the way Jaybo played. He didn't look like someone who had never taken a snap in college football.

I thought Nesbitt looked better overall, but Shaw looked like he was making better decisions on the option. The biggest difference was that Nesbitt looked 30 lbs heavier than Shaw. Give Shaw a year in the weight room and guys won't be able to arm tackle him.

I think a few of Nesbitt's early passes were nerves. The whole offense settled down after the first TD.

Nesbitt's huge run on a busted play showed why he is the starter.

That's the biggest thing I was excited about with Josh last night. He won't quit on a play until he absolutely has no other choice, and then he knows well enough to either run for a little yardage or to dump it out of bounds.

He played like, It's NOT just a game, dog.

Third-ed

Shaw was good. But he's way too small, and he looked much slower than Nesbitt. He definitely knew how to run the option but I was never fooled by his fakes.

He's not Eric Crouch, yet.

Josh was a little jacked up, but nobody seems to be talking about the 3-4 drops on some very catchable balls..There is a Big gap between Josh and Jaybo...Josh is clearly the #1 and is getting better the more he runs this offense. Jaybo has much more experience in this O and is a good BACK-UP..

I just watched a replay of the game and I don't think Jaybo ran the option nearly as well as Josh. On most of the option plays he and the pitch back were so close together that there was no pitch option. This wasn't happening with Josh. This is not surprising since Josh has been getting most of the practice reps

Can you get the replay on anything other than ESPN360?
