This team is really now a reflection of our coach

We saw the team immediately become tougher two years ago when Key was the interim coach. Then we made big strides last year, culminating with a strong showing against UGA and then a great bowl game. Each game you could see us becoming tougher, especially in the trenches. The transformation of our OL under Key has been startling. What was a weakness just two years ago is now a significant strength, if not the best unit on the team. The best thing I love about Key is there is no worry that we are a stepping stone by a young up and coming HC. He is a Tech Man through and through.

tl'dr: I love our coach!

And how many coaches do we have that are former lineman? Was it 14? Win the trenches, win the war.

Contrasting Key and the previous "coach" is a great illustration of how important having strong leadership is, because before Key, the team was also a reflection of the coach. This was made obvious when Key became the interim coach and pretty much immediately the same group of guys looked completely different. Of course this shows how pathetic squirrel hair was but it really demonstrates what a fantastic leader of men Key is, I think we are fortunate to have him on the flats, looks to me like he has full buy in.
