Everyone who has watched the games has to agree that we have had chances to be 4-0 right now. If we get better we And we will, we will win games.

I still love Tech football. You do to. Meet at 3:30 next week at BDS to cheer on the good guys.

I'd have to disagree about having chances to be 4-0, or at least with the sentiment behind it. In both of these games, we were very clearly outplayed by the other team. This is not a case of having a couple plays go the wrong way or balls bounce unfavorably; it's a case of us being unable to operate effectively all game and losing because of it.

For example, we got the ball back with a chance to win against Duke today. It's not like we fumbled or JT threw a boneheaded pick and we were one play away from doing it. We lined up, ran four plays, and couldn't even get ten yards.

If we get better we will win. But we do need to get significantly better; if we play the way we played the opening four games, we will not make a bowl. I think we can do it. We just need to get the offense to a serviceable point with the way the defense is playing.

Amen.

I agree and I don't think that we are far away from being a good team. Special teams can be fixed. Oline can gel, timing can improve - the fix will be a "light comes on" kind of thing where everyone will say 'where has this been all year?' .

Only experience will help the perimeter play, so we just have to be patient there. We're still capable of winning some big games this year.

I dunno. Somehow this feels different. I've definitely seen some crappy losses... but can't remember us looking this completely inept.

Then you are either very young and have only been a Tech fan for a couple of years, or you are very old and are having memory problems.

In my years of being a Tech fan there's never been a year when we didn't have games like, this including 1990. That year we just happened to make all those 4th&1's, but it often still didn't look pretty.

I wouldn't say "clearly outplayed" by Duke. Yeah, we remember it that way, but Duke's offense was stopped all but one play in the second half. They got 13 points on ST, plus the good field position from the high snap.

We had two chances to go back in front of being down 19-3. Peed both of them away.

Special teams are an absolute dumpster fire. Blocking is an enigma. Our guys treat it like a differential equations final.

We're not far from being 4-0. Granted, we got it handed to us against Notre Dame before making it respectable. And we ran around in circles on offense for most of the game today.

So we won't be ranked and won't go to the playoff. We can still get to Charlotte. There's work to do. But there are beatable teams on the horizon. Then again, we're beatable, too.

Unless we change things-we need to start worrying about getting to a bowl--look at the schedule and see if that isn't a concern
if you think not you were probably in the mass that thought we would beat dook by 17

Our defense more than compensated for the offense's failures. But then we gave up 13 points and-then-some in the kicking game.

We will have to win out and hope they lose 2. Add Clemson/FSU and we usually don't play well at Virginia or Miami.

yawn....let's actually beat a team better than Tulane before we lay out the slate like this.

After watching these past 2 weeks, I'm just hoping we make a bowl game.
