Justin on 4th down hitting Stewart. We were absolutely spot on giving Stewart a scholarship.

That play and Thomas' 60 yard run have been flashes of what we saw last year, what I hope we see more of this year and a season of in 2016. He still kind of mystifies me, maybe this is some delayed sophomore slump or something. Gotta think that this will be a confidence booster, not just for him in himself but in more of his teammates which is something we've sorely lacked. It's certainly going to be interesting to see how we build on it in Charlottesville. Win there, avoid a "letdown" and get a win streak going. The rest of this season can still be a lot of fun if we do that.

Did anyone get the same feeling on that fourth and 5 play as the fourth down play in Virginia Tech last season? For whatever reason I felt so confident in those two plays that we were going to convert with a pass.

Wow, I was having precisely the same thought, there was no doubt in my mind ...

My buddy missed the Thomas run because was getting a Coke. When he got back he asked what he missed. I said "You missed our offense looking like it did last year".

There aren't a lot of kids from the Savannah area that get big football scholarships. It's even fewer from the private schools. There is a very large group of people who previously had no interest in Tech who are very interested in what Tech is doing because they feel we treated Stewart fairly and gave him a shot.

It's true there are few big time schollie kids from Savannah for football. But it's the private school kids who do better, I think. Milan Rchard from Calvary to Clemson, the myrick kid from Christian to Minnesota, Demarcus Dobbs from Calvary to UGa, Steven Williams from Calvary to Pitt (before transferring to Ga Southern), the Brown kid at DT from SCPS who went to Louisville

Tech used to recruit BC. Gary Lanier and Paul Jurgensen, for a couple.

if you go to "techsideline.com" and see the running thread during the game after the 4th down completion someone posted "we have seen that before"

I'm trying to find it but that board is as big a mess as ever. Got a link?

CPJ finally listened to the fans and threw to that open slot receiver.

In fact, it really does look like we haven't run that six-person-eligible play since the UNC game. Every time I've seen that trips formation now, the opposite AB is on the line and the slot receiver is a back.

Edit: Should say unbalanced rather than trips. The unbalanced formation, when I've seen it the past three games, has had AB on the line.
