Seriously...you answer almost every single post and you start about one hundred threads per day.

I have an idea for you...why don't you just start your own blog and people can go to it if they want to read your thoughts throughout your day.

This would probably be better than using the infrastructure of StingTalk for your ramblings.

Not trying to be hard on you...just a legitimate thought.

Sorry.

Oops, just had to respond to your post like I apparently do for every one.

Seriously...leave him the **** alone.

I don't remember reading that there was a hiveredtech threshold of posting.

Better yet, why don't you start your own board and be the moderator if you want to dictate who posts what and when?

This reminds me of that guy BLACKWATCH who used to post here. I've really missed his insightful posts.

Yeah, as a matter of fact, we are all now limited to one post a week, with a limit of 300 characters in your post, so better make it count. After all, who wants a football message board to be at all busy in the middle of football season?

The first reponsive post:

The only thing separating Navy from a 2-3 record is a narrow 3 point win over Duke.

Navy is dead last in the nation in passing offense--number 119.

Paul Johnson is an unproven coach for a Div 1-A major conference setting. The schedule Navy plays allows you to play pound-it-out offense against weak opponents. Even Gailey would flourish there.

Our current coach was unproven when he arrived, with no OC or HC experience at the Div 1-A level, and you see where we are. Johnson would not be an upgrade, but we can probably afford him.

Actually jacketup, Johson has a pretty good financial package IIRC, probably at least as good as Gailey's.

True, ncjacket. I recently saw a HC salary comparison. I decided we are getting what we are paying for. If people want an upgrade, it is time to stop whining and start writing checks.

Re: just checking...

since frequency came up...Is it ok to post once a month? Don't want to offend anyone with my rarity in posting.

I'm going to have to check the posting frequency regulations, but I'm fairly certain you're gonna need to bump that up.

Re: ok, consider it done...

although if I don't start seeing some W's I may have to count this 2nd post towards the month of Nov.!!

Johnson's .744 career winning percentage (99-34) ranks 10th among all active coaches, while a win over Temple in the season opener this fall would make him the 26th-fastest coach to reach 100 wins in NCAA history.
Unlike Gailey, Johnson's teams are better as they age. Over the last four years, Navy has posted a 10-2 (.833) record over the final three games of the season and has outscored the opposition, 464-246, in those contests. And if you give him time to prepare for an opponent, he is pretty tough to beat as well, as the Mids are 13-5 (.722) over the last four years when Johnson has more than a week to break down the other team's defense.

Johnson would most definitely be an upgrade over Chan. Let's just hope we get him before someone else does.

If we were to hire Johnson I'd support him like I do any Tech coach. Maybe he's a great coach, but all I see is a decent team playing a weak schedule. Navy recruits better than the other service academies for whatever reason and he is able to use his unusual offense to pound most of the teams they play. I can't say he excites me much, but as I said if we were to hire him I'd back him 100%.
