(1) UNC is a notch above Georgia Tech. We were very fortunate to hang in there with them so long. Hats of to the defense.

(2) Assuming we get a bowl invitation, we will have a lot of needed practice time and recovery time. Even if we go to another sub-par bowl, it will still be exciting to see what progress we've made and see how we play.

(3) We beat Clemson and FSU. That's going to feel a lot better to everyone in retrospect.

(4) Other teams from major conferences that went to bowl games last year but implemented entirely new offenses this year:
  • Michigan (3-7)
  • Auburn (5-5)
  • Arkansas (4-6)
(5) Beating Miami would be great. Getting 8 wins will be amazing if we can do it. We haven't exactly had a bunch of 8 win seasons this millenium. Having said that, I really don't know what to expect in that game. Nothing would surprise me.

(6) Georgia's defense is awful and clueless. It seems like Georgia makes no adjustments on defense. We cannot possibly ask for a better coaching matchup than Paul Johnson versus Willie Martinez. Between now and the Georgia game, we have 3 weeks and one game in between. If we can get healthy, we'll be ready to score some points on them. Our defense is as good or better than any team's defense that Georgia has beaten. If we are healthy, we can beat Georgia and I think we will.

(7) Today sucked and we got our asses kicked. But I'm still damned excited about Georgia Tech football.

I think CPJ will be licking his chops looking at film from UGA-KY. Our game with the dogs could be pretty high scoring. I hope we can get healthy by then.

I DO like your perspective on things overall. If anyone had told me back in August that we'd have 7 wins at this point INCLUDING wins over FSU and Clemson, I would NOT have believed them. What we've accomplished this season with a team as young as we've had in YEARS, a team DECIMATED by injuries, and oh yeah a team with a COMPLETELY new offense and defense is nothing short of amazing. We've got one of the finest coaching staffs in all of college football and some darn fine players to boot!!

I believe that it is our responsibility to support, encourage, and be proud of our team at all times. Especially after disappointing games. Not that valid critiques are out of line....But honestly...as if the coaches/players are pleased with the results of the game...So why kick a man when they are down....Or act as if we know more then the coaches who do this for a living...I too get caught up in my passion and pursuit of wanting to see GT excell at every given opportunity. So it's tough...and don't mean to point fingers... Although there have been "growing pains" all along the way this season...I am encouraged with the direction and confidence shown by the man at the wheel. I think that the schemes/techniques will continue to be fine tuned as we go through these last few weeks of the season. We've got a TON of things to be proud of and the sky is the limit with all the potential....All the PT that these YOUNG players are getting are going to PAY huge DIVIDENDS in the coming years....Plus look at the TALENT that is rolling into the FLATS for next year.....KEEP THE FAITH and TO HELL WITH UGA! I hope we smear that team all over their home feild...
