I wonder just what is going through minds today in North Carolina having watched the game at Chapel Hill and Wake with NO fans in the stands versus our game and others that had fans. While FSU looked like they had no idea of the concept of social distancing, there is NOTHING that replaces fans. Having the band just adds to the pageantry of college football and what makes it so great. I thought UNC and Wake just looked stupid.

I hope our stadium looks a little more controlled (distanced, mask wearing) on Saturday. I really wish we could have done what somebody here suggested - install a Stinger Seat at every "allowable" seating location to help with enforcement and encourage people to sit in the right place.

I've heard a few mentions (here, and on the Rock 100.5 morning show) of FSU getting ripped for not demonstrating better standards. I really want GT to do it right and prove that it can be done safely, both for the sake of our fans/players (including me, sitting in 224U this year) and to stick it to the teams/conferences who say that it can't be done. I'm dreading hearing that there's a big outbreak associated with an ACC game at some point this year.

I was suprised that FSU had the fans packed into the lower sections. The upper deck anywhere other than around the 50 yd line was empty. It somewhat defeats the purpose to restrict attendance if you're going to all sit very close. I assume the fans did this on their own accord and that's not how FSU drew it up.

I am surprised so many of y'all care. Let the fans worry about themselves. Personally I wouldnt care. The drive down to the stadium is more dangerous. How do we allow that?

Amazing Miami did such a good job of social distancing at DaU game, but FSU looked like they didn't plan a damn thing

They are just trying to expedite herd immunity.

Seems Notre Dame did a nice job of getting fans in the stadium with reasonable precautions.

Not allowing any fans is just dumb and pointless.
VT gets 1k fans. Governor Blackface apparently is a know-it-all. The 1000 is just going to be family. Crazy thing is they arent even allowing fans in the boxes.

1) Notre Dame's process was cool: first choice was to students, they got all the tickets they wanted. Then faculty and staff. So it sounds like there were no "paid" tickets. But ND has enough money that they can lose a lot this year and still be OK.

2) UNC got into a little trouble because they didn't allow any fans but Roy Williams was there. No reason that at least the players' parents could not be in attendance. That should be the minimum.

3) At a minimum, they should allow 5-10% and see how it goes. I think what Tech, FSU and others doing is fine.

Per the broadcast, it was students, faculty, and staff at ND. The students seemed to bunch up behind the end zones, which probably isn’t ideal.

This image kind of sums up the FSU precautions.

I think whoever was directing the footage had a sense for the ironic.

She's a bit chunky with crazy eyes. The last of that guy's problems with her is covid
Never trust a guy who wears his sunglasses backwards (esp when outside where there is sunlight).
