Normally that is something valuable, for the upcoming season. But if we are practicing the OBS and 3-4 defense, and the new staff is going to go a different route, is it of any benefit at all?

Just getting in reps is good. It may not be overly useful, but it is better than nothing.

Two boards -RBs line up on one side, Defensive players on the other. RB runs through the boards, D tackles the runner -every day -for three weeks.

Last 5 years, we seem to do better after years where we don't practice 3 extra weeks.

So let's skip it.

^This. All that extra OB practice in 2014 led to 3 wins in 2015 and the XP in 2016 led to the shitty 2017 season. Hell, the 2009 OB practice led to shitty 2010.

I like the idea of not practicing or game planning, and seeing if we can beat Minnesota anyway
