clean a game as you will see out of an opponent at BDS, same as last year and the year before....

The Miami fans that I met were nice as well and several talked about how cool BDS is...they were 'different' than your average college fan though - could of passed for Sopranos cast members.

Not excusing the brawl or the lite suspensions, just pointing out that if they are just a bunch of thugs as most of you describe them, then they clean themselves up pretty well when they play the Yellow Jackets.

I have never met such arrogant, insulting, and obnoxious fans as the two sets of UM fans behind us. They're like school on Sunday. NO CLASS.

I was in 211 and maybe you wished we'd all shut up. I sympathize. I admit that I stooped to their level. But it was in defense of Reggie & Co. I could not believe that, after what UM has been through, these guys were so loud and cocky. We're not used to trash talking, but we were trying to keep with these guys as the game went on. By the end, though. everyone piled on with some well-deserved taunting. They got all nice and quite and aw-shucks-like as they limped out with 4:00 remaining. I turned around and yelled "I CAN"T HEAR YOU!"

I was ambivalent about UM folks before. Now I, um, dislike them worse than Dogbull fans...

Oh, and I didn't hear it myself. But I read that we booed Reggie. Tech fans insulting Tech players? If true, I definitely hate those Tech fans too. Even worse. N.C.--NO CLASS.

Had the same type of UM fans in section 203, and unfortunately, I also took the bait. I don't understand how you can sit in the middle of the home team section, completely surrounded by Tech fans, and verbally assualt the school, team, players and fans - and not expect someon to shut you up.

Cheering for your team and how they are playing on the field is the point of going to games, not trying to pick fights with the opposing fans, and that seems to be the only thing UM fans were interested in.

I didn't see any where near the level of Vanilla Ice-ness as I did two years ago. I did see two tech fans hold the door of the Moes for a UM chick, who responded with "we're number one" instead of "thank you."

But on the whole, no where near UGA level obnoxiousness.

Reggie wasn't being booed. Patrick Nix was being booed for running the ball on 3rd and 19. My guess is he gave up on the TD and was setting up Travis Bell for a middle of the field attempt - which he nailed by the way.

The UM fans I encountered yelled loudly for their team and were respectful of the GT fans around them.

I disagree - Reggie was booed on at least a couple of plays (throwing OOB on 3rd and long for 1 example).

To the original topic - Miami's players behaved very well. Much better than I expected. Their fans were "loosers".

Only barely related to the thread:

We got damn lucky that Choice made 9 yards on that 3rd-and-8 draw play in the first half. That playcall took balls of steel.

Okay. That's different. Still terrible and embarrassing, but not as bad as getting on the players...

I can understand disagreeing with a play call and I can understand being disappointed in the result. But when you boo your team, you better mean it because that's how they take it. If you're just letting someone know you're not happy why not just not cheer?
