Kelly_Quinlan: Starting #GaTech NT Pat Gamble out for Duke, Jabari Hunt will start there, Rod Rook-Chungong questionable, probably Antonio Simmons to start

Good thing we have Hunt back!

Simmons has looked really good on some plays this year. I hope he can stay disciplined and play strong against the run.

Chip.chip.chipping away at a DL that wasn't close to dominant anyway
we may do ok but this is starting to look questionable--
now 2 DL starters maybe out and the best WR
thake the pts and run

We should be better on defense now that Jabari is finally starting.

........ lol

Yeah. GT isn't a team that can start to lose depth and last all season. The injuries last season didn't start until the end of the year.

You have an awful memory. May want to look back at the injuries we were dealt last year before the season even started.

Starters? Who? I know there were handful of reserve players out coming out of 2014 fall camp.

..who missed 0 games.

Sorry, Vad joke.

We did lose a number of players that off season, but I think more of them had to do with attrition or eligibility than injury. Probably forgetting some though.

I can't think of any starters lost for any significant amount of time early in the season once games started. Laskey missed several weeks in the middle of the season, then Snoddy, Smelter and Zenon at the end. But 77 thinks I have an awful memory, so let's hear from him first.

Well in fairness 77 was saying injuries before the season (i.e. we lost a lot of depth before the season even started). And we did lose a lot of depth, just not to injuries (that I recall). Off the top of my head:

JHD
Whitehead
A. Autry
M. Autry
Commingsoinginging
Vad
Cutsis

Fair enough.

Kevin Robbins and Justin Akins, too. We got gouged two offseasons ago.

Jimmy Kitchens also left too. He showed flashes too.

That DL group also lost Denzel McCoy, a 4-star recruit, without ever playing a snap I think.

We've signed 11 4-stars in PJ's tenure. Five have been starters or top contributors. Two others are Kallon and Step Durham.
