48 Head Football Coaches That Brought “IT” in Week 1
Paul Johnson, Georgia Tech – There is nothing in the game of football as beautiful as a well run triple-option play, and the Yellow Jackets’ new offense looked very good in there first game in the Paul Johnson regime. Another striking thing about the Yellow Jackets under Johnson was the toughness of the team compared to the years under Chan Gailey. Gailey is an NFL coach and his Georgia Tech teams played like they were already in the NFL: No passion, no fire, and almost not caring at times, and that terrible football era at Tech is over with the arrival of Johnson. Now with the ACC looking so weak, the last thing other conference teams want to see is a Georgia Tech team that will knock them in the chops. Well, they got that now….
Week 2 College Football Lines That Stand Out to Us
Georgia Tech
Boston College -7.0
This could be the coming out game for Paul Johnson and the Yellow Jackets, because a win in their first road game in the ACC would be big. BC looked decent against Kent State, but the Eagles could struggle with the very tough to defend triple-option. If Tech does win, they have a shot to compete for the ACC title…..THIS YEAR!
