so please lets tone down the flames and coaching rhetoric online here for the recruits who visit our sites. It could make a difference...

We need to help communicate the message why good recruits should come to GT..

-chance to play early. UGA has filled the wagon with recruits this year already and have a pretty good team on the field. You may wait a long time to see the field over there... you can come in and help us instantly and gain national recognition

-high visibility program with great tradition. Played on TV everygame this year but 1. Known nationally and recruit nationally. If you're not from around here, you will be seen by your friends and family a lot on TV. If you hope to go pro, great exposure.

-Atlanta, GA. What better place to experience college. If you're from up North, like year round springtime. Nightlife, big time city, happening place.

-growing our facilities and our campus, but still cozy, friendly environment to go to school.

-Unrivaled academic opportunity among high profile, winning, D-1 schools. If you don't go pro and hit it rich, you'll have a solid foundation for life after college with the best alumni association in the country to support you when you graduate.

Agreed.

Hopefully, we'll have some good news here in the next month!

if you go around to a lot of different message boards you'll find many that are just as bad/worse than either the hive or stingtalk....and those teams outrecruit us regularly

What certx55 is probably true. I doubt you could find one recruit in the whole nation basing their decision to attend a school on something a board said or did not say.

We give ourselves way to much credit here. I bet they get a good belly laugh every time some one brings anything like this up on a board.

I would say most every board in the nation is very similar in their remarks, both good and bad. You can bet they visit a lot of boards and already know this.

As far as a pitch to come to a particular school, if a recruit is interested at all in Tech, he will contact the school or we will contact him if we are interested. He will then hear every possible view of reasons to come to Tech. After all, these coaches are trained recruiters with all kinds of information available.
