I know this is not football, but this is the most read board, so wanted to post this here, in case any of you were classmates of Tinsley.

Tinsley died in a car accident on Tuesday.

Macon architect Tinsley Matthews was killed Tuesday when a motor home collided with his sport utility vehicle on U.S. 441 just north of Eatonton. He was 51.

Matthews was a second-generation architect who graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in industrial management and a Master of Architecture. He went on to work as a corporate architect for Charter Medical Corp., where he managed the company’s nationwide design and construction, and later joined Dunwody, Beeland, Azar, Walsh and Matthews Architects.

We worked on a couple projects together shortly after we graduated. This is very sad news.

He was a great guy - always in a good mood and quick with a joke; a lot of fun to work with.
 
I am a member of the family and thank you for your prayers and kindness. To those who knew him, keep your chin up-he'd want it that way. To those who didn't, he was a great guy and a huge Tech fan, tell the people you love how much they mean to you, they may be gone tomorrow. Thanks again.
 
May he be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows he's gone!

Each and every one of us needs to lift a glass of "whiskey clear" tomorrow in his honor.
