I'm planning my trip to watch our Yellow Jackets beat the living stew out of ND on 9/1/2007. Does anyone have any tips on which hotels to try for reservations? I've done a little research online but I get the feeling that hotel rooms on ND football weekends are hard to come by. Any help is appreciated. Go Tech!!

From everything I've heard, it's going to be difficult to find anything in SBN on that weekend. I'm planning on staying in Chicago and driving down on gameday.

One of the guys in our group did some looking into it and theres a train from Chicago to SB that a lot of visiting fans take and schools have been known to reserve large portions of it for their fans. Kind of hope GT does it, but I have a feeling if they do it will turn into a $100 a person thing and get out of range for a lot of people.

I don't remember the price, but when GT last visited ND, the fans were offered a hotel/train or train only option to ND from Chicago. It was a blast and I'd expect the same this go around.

Chicago to SB seems to be the preferred route for visiting fans, is it really the best route? From where I'm sitting its a plane ticket to a nearby city then rental car to SB, so I need to find the place for the first leg of the trip, thoughts?

In '97, we flew into SB and rented a car to drive to Benton Harbor, MI, and had a room on the beach at Lake Michigan. There were many TECH people staying at the same hotel, but I can't remember the name. It was a chain.

This gave us a chance to decide how much time we decided to spend on campus or the College Football Hall of Fame.
