I want to know what the entire Miam..ugh team was doing before the game in front of the band and students in the North end zone.
They were on knees with their heads down but directly facing the fans. I ask this question earnestly.

They were praying, kind of like Notre Dame did before that game.
I can understand why one would need to ask. Miami isn't usually seen doing such things.

Yes, they are usually engaged in criminal activities.:laugher:

What did the painted-crazy-tech-fan guys have written across them this game? I couldn't tell.

Yeah, I felt kinda bad that everyone was yelling at them. I think we should have stopped while they prayed, then immediately started yelling again when they stood up. It probably would have sounded pretty cool. Plus, it would have been a classy move.

Great win today guys.

I think they were praying for mercy. Did Coker join them? He would have been praying for an employer.

Must have bee another "effort to turn the program around." Maybe I shouldn't be saying anything bad about them praying, but I have doubts there was any substance in the prayers. I also have doubts it was actually heard as it was probably done as more of a show than an actual prayer.

Stop my arse, they were taunting us. As they were getting up they were waving and making jestures.

Just another classless move by the thugs and coker

Looking at that "pre-game show" the one word that came to mind was pathetic. Most teams pray together in the locker room before they go onto the field. Instead, they come out wander around, take turns getting out in front of the group to take a knee.

Did you see Meriweather get 2-3 paces in front of the rest of his team to take a knee and give God the big shout out as he stood?

They have some amazing talent. But, they are a lost bunch.

I noticed one of the coaches was in the face of the corner that got beat by Calvin for the TD. He cursed at him for the entire Miami series. What else could he do? He tried to tackle him before the ball got there.

I did enjoy watching them completely melt down after TCs TD.

They remind me of Tennessee last year - no leadership... on the field or on the sideline.

They were not praying.....I was the yougest child in my family, and I remember how I used to taunt my older brother. He would not want me around, so what would I do? I would go into his room and pray. He would scream at me "get out". My parents would walk up and say "get out of your brother's room and leave him alone." I would say "But Mom, I was just praying.".....They used prayer as an excuse to be where they shouldn't......Plus there were several players standing in front of our students taunting. I guess they were just asking our students to join them in the prayer.:laugher: ..........Coker has no control of his program, I have no sympathy for him. He should have been over there chewing sombody out......If they want to pray then do it on the sidelines or at mid-field. The best place would be the locker room. The Pharisees used to pray to get attention. If I remember correctly, God didn't look on that very highly.

This was my hunch, but you expressed it very well.

I wonder if this was a one time event, or if um seeks out the student section before every road game.

Notre Dame did the same thing. They made sure they went right in front of SWARM before they prayed.

Now I am back to being confused unless ND chose the North EZ not because of our band and students, but because their fan section (as well as Miami's) was up on the Matterhorn.
If so, that makes sense.

We have a student section on both ends. I believe they should pray in the locker room, but if they are going to do it on the field it is hard to avoid the students.

My point is that if they were sincerely in prayer in front of their visiting fan section, I respect that.
