based on what was being played on the radio today by none other than Tech hater J Kincaid.

Now, he didn't say we had to win our last 6 including miami. What he reported was that no one goes to a BCS game unless they are 17th in the BCS poll. As everyone knows, we are 20 now with no ranked teams in front of us until a Jax game, if that should happen.
He says rule was put in after #22 fsu went last year.

If this is true, we need to win em all. (We need to regardless)
For any that think beating ugha is not very important, think again!

actually the winner of the ACC goes to Orange Bowl OR NATIONAL CHAMP bowl.

F$U had what 5 losses last year? The winner of the game in JAX goes to orange bowl.

Ya that imbecile Kincaid is trying to scare GT fans while we are having a good season, because his Dawgs are going to a West Coast.com bowl.

So, Kincaid lied about the thing about needing to be at 17 or higher?

I wouldn't go so far as to call him a liar. Just painfully crippingly stupid.

this article explains it pretty clearly

If Kincaid is still confused after reading this tell him to call me and I will explain it further.

what an idiot

My intent in posting was citing Kincaid's definitive tone about the "fsu rule" after last year. Granted, I only heard 20 minutes. However, if he blatantly concocted this he has serious behavioural problems.

I really wish 790 would remove the Stews from the drive time slot. Who wants to hear about the hawks during football season?

actually this year the ACC firmed up its relationship w/ the Orange bowl.

In years past the ACC was only guaranteed BCS slot. Now the ACC is guaranteed Orange Bowl UNLESS they are playing in Nat. Champ.

here is where that IDIOT got it from...

http://www.collegefootballpoll.com/bcs_explained.html

Under the double hosting format, the champions of the Atlantic Coast, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pacific-10 and Southeastern Conferences will continue to play annually in one of the BCS bowls through the post-season following the 2007 regular season. In addition, one conference champion from among Conference USA, Mid-American, Mountain West, Sun Belt, and Western Athletic Conferences will automatically qualify to play in a BCS bowl if it is: (1) ranked among the top 12 teams in the final BCS Standings; or (2) ranked among the top 16 teams in the final BCS Standings and ranked higher than the champion of one of the conferences whose champion has an annual automatic berth in a BCS bowl.

It CLEARLY state that the top 16 rule does NOT apply to ACC schools or SEC, Big Ten, Big 12 etc.

Thank you LB.

I find it amusing (irratating) how buck and his sidekick or vice-versa play the good dork, bad dork routine. belue never has a bad word to say about Tech, but the other guy goes out of his way to insult Tech.
Their schtick has looked pretty foolish this year.

You guys must not listen to Kincaid much if you're calling him a Dwag fan. He rips on UGA more and more.

I don't think he cares about either team one way or the other; but to pretend he's a UGA fan by his on-air personality is just wrong. He rips them badly on-air.

What Kincaid may have been referring to is the new automatic berth review procedure that the BCS has instituted. Automatic berths are no longer forever and ever amen, but if your whole conference sucks for several years in a row, they can strip your automatic bid. I think this was put in place for the Big East.
I'm not worried about the ACC. VT and scUM will be back where expected soon, and F$U has the youngest team they've had in 25 years. You can put GT and Clemson in the same conversation now, with BC not far behind (if they are at all).
