How in God's green earth did they get a #5 ranking in the final CFP poll? A horrible loss to South Carolina and then a total beatdown at the hands of LSU in the SEC championship game. Alabama lost by a TD to LSU after a terrible first half. The loss to Auburn wasn't a good loss but they did give up two pick 6's and a missed FG and head scratching call before the half allowing Auburn to kick a late first half FG. Just my opinion but I think Bama would beat the dwags by at least 2 TD's. Not sure Oregon and Baylor shouldn't be ranked ahead of them also.
Your stats and facts are interesting. They just can't stack up to how much more it means in the SEC.How in God's green earth did they get a #5 ranking in the final CFP poll? I'd put Baylor at #5. They only lost to one team, and both of those games were coin flips. Oregon lost to a team that UGA beat pretty convincingly.Auburn beating Bama kinda screwed up spots 5-12. A three-loss Auburn needing to be ranked ahead of Bama has Bama too low and other teams too high.
Oregon should certainly be #5 ahead of UGA, Bama should be ahead of UGA as well. You could also argue Baylor should be ahead of UGA.
