As an amateur writer myself, I can say with confidence that the article posted above is one of the most horribly-written pieces of crap that I've ever read. In a way, it's almost insulting to the victim of the tragedy.
 
Is the AJC just hiring folks off the street? She must have slept with someone to get that job.

also remember that a newspaper has to write to the audience it hopes to sell to. the article is written in a way that most people in Georgia can read it AND understand it. so not all the fault might lie with the writer. even some McDonalds cooks can actually cook better than what they serve up at work....

I remember there was one time that someone on this board suggested that the Technique contained better writing than the AJC. I thought that was a pretty ridiculous statement, but this article is just unbelievable. I mean, it reads like it was written for ESL students.

Funny, I get that same feeling after some of your posts...

I've noticed, with other newspapers of better quality, that when they print an online addition, certain articles, especially those that are formatted as little blurbs, tend to look funny on the internet. This isn't really a defense for the AJC though, as those D-Bags have proven time and time again that it is the most atrocious piece of crap in the universe.
 
The only acceptable explanation of this monstrosity is that Yolanda Rodriguez is a terminally ill 12 year old who had her article posted with the help of the Make a Wish Foundation.
