From the LSU Athletic Dept.:

"LSU has informed the NCAA and SEC that it will self-impose a one-year postseason ban on its football program for the 2020-21 bowl season . . . LSU leadership made this decision after careful deliberation and review of the NCAA rules violations that have been discovered in the University's cooperative investigation with the NCAA and IARP. This decision reflects LSU's commitment to compliance with NCAA regulations and maintenance of institutional control. We reset the impact that this decision has on our current student-athletes, but we make it in the best interest of the football program and the University. LSU will continue to cooperate with the NCAA and IARP throughout the enforcement process."

LSU is currently 3-5 and staring down 3-6 after the Gators slaughter them. This is tough medicine when you're having a season like that, and you decide you need to ban yourself from a shot at a prestigious bowl like the Weed Wacker Bowl. But that's just the kind of integrity that LSU, the SEC, and the NCAA reek.

Didn’t we do this in basketball?

Please handle all basketball discussion with kid gloves and gold colored glasses.
It’s like I don’t know what to make of basketball. Really excited to beat Kentucky and Nebraska, but we friggen lost to Mercer and Georgia State.

Self-inflicting a bowl ban when there’s no way in heck you’re going to make it to a bowl. Classic LSU. And the NCAA will give them a pat on the back for it. Classic NCAA.
Your anger should only be directed at the joke that is the NCAA not the schools taking advantage of the corrupt system. Also, something something throw rocks something glass house

I could be wrong but I seem to remember that any team can be invited to a bowl this year, and there is a decent chance some bowl would invite a 3-7 LSU team.

Why don't we impose a post season ban on our football team for this year for any potential rules violation we may commit in the future? Kinda put one in the bank.
Because next time Georgie prostitutes their own program publicly, the NCAA would have to find TWO nits to pick against us.

And demand the NCAA rescind the bullshit penalties that took the 2009 ACCC away from us
I was at that game and even though I'm getting old, I'm pretty sure we won. And I did not see any "agent supplied clothing" score a single point or make a single tackle.

BC just elected to not participate in a bowl game this year. Not sure how much that helps us in getting a bowl game since we're like 9th in line assuming picking order goes down the list. If both Clemson and ND get into the Playoffs that would move us up as well

A bowl game?!? The only reason I would even want that is that the BS NCAA rules allow you extras practices, which we could use . . . maybe they could invite CJP to conduct them.

I hope we get a bowl that is postponed until Jan 31. That way we can get an entire extra spring practice in with the early arrivals for next years class.

If it then doesn’t actually get played, oh well.
