I am a 22 year old graduating senior at Tech, so I think I can still relate to incoming Freshman.
First things first a recruit is not going to come to Tech because they have a cool uniform. Give these people a little more credit than that. They know there decision is huge and put a little more thought into it than that. They are not retards, or they would go to UGA.
Second, Yes a uniform change MIGHT sell more in stores and people that are not already Tech fans would buy them. But to me that does not matter.
Last, My freshman year the thing I loved most about Tech (besides the actual games) was the tradition (ex. ramblin wreck and Budwieser song played by band). It would take so much away from the game if they just had piped in music and not this stuff. I have asked a number of current GT football players about this and all of them love the playing of the Ramblin wreck song after a score or big play. Straight from the horses mouth. Anyways from the sound of it CG likes the band anyway.
