When did he enter the portal?

So when a guy goes in the portal, then any school can make contact with him directly? No restrictions?

Trying to keep up with how this works. This guy seems like a good ‘un so wondering did we have to win out over other programs? Any way to know who else was interested?

At the end of the day, I’m happy about it but don’t really understand what goes on between “I’m in the portal” and “I’m out of the portal and going to [school x].

He entered April 19, looks like. Yeah, anyone can contact a player once he is in the portal. Of course, many players are contacted through back channels/intermediaries before they go in. Dunno who else was interested, but I would imagine he generated some interest.

Perhaps we are not as bad at this game as was previously speculated.
 
I'm going by what I have read and this is speculative, but I don't think he played in any regular season games while at UK. I could be wrong.
 
Dang, we keep getting more of these, folks will think we're in the SEC.

Just looked at UK's depth chart for the entire season. Never cracked it, and they had two freshmen on their two deep for the OL
then again, their OL two deep appeared to have little or no change throughout the season

Exactly. Word is he and some other football players were accused of and charged with burglary at a fraternity house because they came to a party uninvited. He was forced to miss a good bit of time in 2021 because of that until he was exonerated. I can see why he would want to get the hell out of Kentucky.

Also, playing time doesn't mean everything when it comes to transfers. We need OL to fill that room and provide depth for the guys that got medicalled. Some of you guys act like every transfer we take should be game ready vet with tons of experience and headed to NFL next year.
 
welcome to GT! ... 6-3 326 certainly has potential. He was a high 3star and has 4 yrs eligibility.

Unfortunately, most of the naysayers on this board are dumbasses who do no homework but jump to conclusions that support their dumb narrative.
