Transfer: Corey Robinson II: OL

Curious about the backstory here. It doesn't look like we tried to recruit him out of high school even though he was in our backyard. Looks like he has good size.

Yeah, apparently he put on some good weight his freshman year at Kansas. Seems like he was eager to come home, as he committed pretty quickly.

Doesn't look like he played for Kansas last year so probably will be depth or scout team for us this year.

Most of the Ivys offered him out of high school, so he must be pretty sharp.

Hopefully he can develop into a good player. We definitely need bodies/depth given how poorly we’ve managed the OL

He had interest in Vanderbilt apparently; but they didn't have interest in him. That is a good sign that he is interested in academics. I hope thins ends up being of mutual benefit to him and GT.

290 is still pretty small.
Yes and no... 290 is good, if he is mobile and the offense uses a lot of "pull the guard" type plays. If your offense is just smash forward and win the LOS, then 290 may be too small. For GT's offense.. Given, from what I've seen, has been the win the LOS type. New OC... I cannot say I know enough about Long, to determine, how he handles the O-line.

This a great Pickup! Just need to coach the boys up! So far I like what I am seeing from CGC 2.0 and new asst coaches. Lets Go Coach Key!
