Transportation costs

Who covers the costs of transporting and housing these football teams when they go all over the country? Hawaii has to either sail or fly to any away game they have and it has to be expensive. Is it the school's expense? Does NCAA step in? Conferences?

Well, they used to let Hawaii schedule an extra home game and let other teams play them for a 12th game, but now that the 12-game schedule is permanent I'm not sure.

I think Hawaii gets help from the WAC, seeing as how they have to go to at least Louisiana Tech every other year.

Any school that gets Hawaii away gets the right to a 13th game at home to recoup their costs. That's how Purdue had a 7-6 record last year. I have no idea how Hawaii pays for its travel though.
