Yeah. Collins is done, whether it's today or next week or next month. The focus should be on what happens at AD.

I think UCF being an away game has given the people in charge the idea that they can wait. If UCF were at home, I think the change would have already happened. We probably see action before the next home game, particularly if we get embarrassed again.

I hope not. We need to start a coaching search this week. Maybe ask for some volunteers from some of the chemistry professors to help start the search.

Speaking of UCF, is the board’s ‘new’ color scheme in honor of our upcoming opponent or a precursor to the impending death of our once proud football program?

Nothing prevents searching from happening before anyone is fired. No one we would want is taking the head coaching job before the end of the season, regardless. The argument for firing now comes down to optics (and it's a sound argument, but the urgency is not about starting the search).

We need to hire a new AD as soon as possible. The new AD needs time to identify head coaching options.

If he’s worth a öööö, he’ll have an idea of what he wants to do here before we decide to hire him.
If we hire a guy that moves into his office, orders new furniture and interviews his receptionist before he goes online to Google “potential head football coaches” we’ll then we’ve made another ööööty hire.
